Men’s League Rules

League Format

All matches will be played in a 1 Net Best Ball format.
Each player competes individually, and the best net score on each hole counts toward the team’s result.

Flights & Handicaps

Teams will be flighted based on combined team handicaps.
All players must have an active GHIN handicap prior to league play.
If a team does not have an active handicap for every player, 1 point will be deducted from the team total each week until all handicaps are active.
80% of each player’s GHIN Playing Handicap will be used for league competition.

Handicapping Explained

Your Course Handicap is used to:

Apply net double bogey limits on individual holes
Determine your target score for the round

To find your Course Handicap:

Open the GHIN app
Select the course and tees you are playing
Your Course Handicap will automatically display

Example:
Par 72 + Course Handicap of 20 = Target Score of 92

Your Playing Handicap is the number of strokes you receive for a specific competition format and allowance. This number will also be calculated automatically in the GHIN app when the appropriate allowance is applied.

Substitute Policy

Non-member substitutes are allowed a maximum of 4 appearances per season.
Non-member subs must pay:
- $40 GHIN fee (one-time)
- $15 per round
A substitute’s handicap will not be valid until their GHIN is active.

Sub Submission (Important)

ALL subs must be emailed to:

No phone calls or in-person requests will be accepted.
Deadline: 12:00 PM on league day
Late submissions are not guaranteed to be entered.

Results & Posting

Any score disputes or handicap issues must be addressed the night of league play.
Once scores are finalized, results are considered final.
It is the responsibility of all players to verify scores before submission.
League results will be posted no later than 24 hours after league concludes.

Season Skins Game

Skins are prepaid for the season.
Cost: $80 per player
Gross skins only
Flights 1–2 combined and 3–4 combined
If no skin is won in a given week, the pot will roll over.

General Rules

Balls may be marked, cleaned, and replaced at any time.
Conceded putts must be picked up.
Players must mark their ball if requested.
Free relief is granted from:
- Cart paths
- Sprinkler heads
- Ground Under Repair (GUR)
Using a broken tee or another player’s tee is not a penalty.
No free club lengths or foot wedges.
Standard USGA Rules of Golf apply unless otherwise noted.

Out of Bounds & Lost Ball

Out of Bounds:
Take a fairway drop from where the ball crossed the boundary (not where it landed) with a two-stroke penalty.
Lost Ball:
Drop at an agreed-upon location with a two-stroke penalty.
Players do not return to the previous spot.
These rules are in place to maintain pace of play.

Trees & Bunkers

Ball stuck in a tree:
Two-stroke penalty, drop in the fairway.
Bunkers must be played as the ball lies.

Player Conduct

Unsportsmanlike behavior will not be tolerated. This includes:

Ridiculing other players
Offering unsolicited coaching
Harassment of any kind

Violations may result in immediate disqualification from league play.

Ghost Team / No-Show Policy

If a team fails to appear:
- Opponents receive 4.5 points
- Net birdie: +0.5 point
- Net eagle: +1 point
If only two team members show up, each player will compete in a separate match.

Payout Structure

SHGA, GHIN, and administrative fees are excluded from payouts.
80% of remaining league fees will be paid out in cash.
Payouts will be awarded to 1st–3rd place in each flight.
The league will be split into a 1st half and 2nd half, with points resetting at the halfway mark.

League Fees
