Scott has had an interesting road that ultimately brought him to Hastings, NE. Born in Chicago, IL and ultimately graduated High School from Greeley, CO. He served a 4-year enlistment in the U.S. Army after High School.

Scott ended up as a student/athlete at Hastings College. Enjoyed playing 2 years of football and 4 years of baseball at the college. Several years after earning his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration he re-enlisted in the U.S. Army for another 4 years.
After an honorable discharge from the Army (again), he pursued his passion for golf by attending Keiser University and earning a 2-yeardegree in Golf Management. He served as an Assistant Golf Professional at a private yacht and country club in Stuart, FL. Soon after he returned to Hastings, NE. He’s been a part of the Hastings community since attending Hastings College in 1992-1996. In his spare time, he enjoys trading and investing in crypto currencies.
He loves to play golf and connect with people through this great game. As the newly elected Lessee for Southern Hills Golf Course, he’s kept busy creating the technology and business infrastructure for Southern Hills to keep its place within the Hastings community. It’s an exciting time to be a part of the new team leading Southern Hills into the future.
Corey Hallett
General Manager
A Native of Hastings, Corey attended Longfellow Elementary, where his wife now teaches. He graduated from the University of Nebraska at Kearney with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Psychology.

He is married and has two children that attend Adams Central. Corey was employed at MJM Investigations out of Raleigh North Carolina in 2001. Since then, Corey has been self-employed and has had several successful businesses. He has owned and managed several rental properties under Hallett Investments, since 2001. In 2005, Corey and his wife, Jessica, purchased the Reno Tavern.
Corey has had 17 years of experience in the bar business managing employees, food service, inventory, remodels, and special events. Corey has been a member of Southern hills for several years. As the newly elected Lessee, he hopes to provide our members with a course that has a welcoming atmosphere, approachable scheduling, and facilities where members want to gather.
Tyler Fike
Director of Golf
Tyler grew up on a farm in Deweese, NE (35 miles southeast of Hastings). He graduated from Sandy Creek High School, before receiving his bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska at Kearney.

Tyler majored in General studies with and emphasis in Sports Administration. Tyler learned to play golf from his grandpa and dad when they weren’t irrigating. Tyler has been working out at Southern Hills for a few years now. He enjoys golfing with the members and his favorite event is the Warrior Cup!
In his free time Tyler enjoys spending time with his wife, Josie and 4 kids Tylee, Jaystin, Maksim, and Skailyn. They enjoy traveling, golf, gardening, and trying new things.
Cory Koranda

Cory graduated from Hastings College majoring in Business Administration with a minor in Sociology and Psychology. Cory enjoys coaching for the sodbusters, golfing, playing video games when he’s not working.

Kristie was born in Illinois and raised in Minnesota. She has two children, Jordan and Savannah.

She is a rural carrier for the USPS. She has enjoyed delivering mail for 17 years. She has two dogs, a bloodhound named Annabelle and a yellow lab named Maverick. She enjoys riding four wheelers, camping and boating. She has been a Southern HIlls bartender since the spring of 2023.

Sophie a 2020 high school graduate, attended CCC majoring in Culinary Arts.

She enjoys baking and you can purchase her baked goods at Frahm Coffee bar where she also works as a barista. She has a Yorkie named Ollie, he also goes by Mr. Tony. She is a cook here at Southern Hills.

Aaron Stonerook is a dedicated loader operator at KAAPA and a skilled cook at Southern Hills. Originally from Upland, he balances hands-on work with his passion for cooking.

Jared Delgado
Jared is from Broomfield, Colorado. He is a junior at Hastings College and plays on the baseball team. He is working on his degree in marketing and business. Jared enjoys anything with sports and spending time with friends. While at Southern Hills you might find him in the pro shop, the kitchen, behind the bar, or outside. He’s a jack of all trades!

Ashley recently moved to the area and will be teaching 3rd grade at Blue Hill. She will also coach Jr. High Girls Basketball. In Ashley’s free time she enjoys spending time outside as well as growing her photography business!

I play softball at Creighton University. I am a junior majoring in exercise science. This is my 2nd year at Southern Hills.
