Scott has had an interesting road that ultimately brought him to Hastings, NE. Born in Chicago, IL and ultimately graduated High School from Greeley, CO. He served a 4-year enlistment in the U.S. Army after High School.

Scott ended up as a student/athlete at Hastings College. Enjoyed playing 2 years of football and 4 years of baseball at the college. Several years after earning his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration he re-enlisted in the U.S. Army for another 4 years.
After an honorable discharge from the Army (again), he pursued his passion for golf by attending Keiser University and earning a 2-yeardegree in Golf Management. He served as an Assistant Golf Professional at a private yacht and country club in Stuart, FL. Soon after he returned to Hastings, NE. He’s been a part of the Hastings community since attending Hastings College in 1992-1996. In his spare time, he enjoys trading and investing in crypto currencies.
He loves to play golf and connect with people through this great game. As the newly elected Lessee for Southern Hills Golf Course, he’s kept busy creating the technology and business infrastructure for Southern Hills to keep its place within the Hastings community. It’s an exciting time to be a part of the new team leading Southern Hills into the future.
Corey Hallett
General Manager
A Native of Hastings, Corey attended Longfellow Elementary, where his wife now teaches. He graduated from the University of Nebraska at Kearney with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Psychology.

He is married and has two children that attend Adams Central. Corey was employed at MJM Investigations out of Raleigh North Carolina in 2001. Since then, Corey has been self-employed and has had several successful businesses. He has owned and managed several rental properties under Hallett Investments, since 2001. In 2005, Corey and his wife, Jessica, purchased the Reno Tavern.
Corey has had 17 years of experience in the bar business managing employees, food service, inventory, remodels, and special events. Corey has been a member of Southern hills for several years. As the newly elected Lessee, he hopes to provide our members with a course that has a welcoming atmosphere, approachable scheduling, and facilities where members want to gather.
Tyler Fike
Director of Golf
Tyler grew up on a farm in Deweese, NE (35 miles southeast of Hastings). He graduated from Sandy Creek High School, before receiving his bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska at Kearney.

Tyler majored in General studies with and emphasis in Sports Administration. Tyler learned to play golf from his grandpa and dad when they weren’t irrigating. Tyler has been working out at Southern Hills for a few years now. He enjoys golfing with the members and his favorite event is the Warrior Cup!
In his free time Tyler enjoys spending time with his wife, Josie and 4 kids Tylee, Jaystin, Maksim, and Skailyn. They enjoy traveling, golf, gardening, and trying new things.
Sidney O’Dey

She is involved in golf, publications, National Honor Society, Director of Striv media and Vice President of FBLA. She enjoys golfing very much and has qualified for state three years in a row and has taken home two medals from the state championships. She plans to go to UNO in the fall of 2024 and major in Exercise Science. In addition to working at Southern Hills, she works at Hastings Physical Therapy. You can find her working as a golf desk attendant, outside assistant, or cooking at Southern Hills.
Cory Koranda

Cory graduated from Hastings College majoring in Business Administration with a minor in Sociology and Psychology. Cory enjoys coaching for the sodbusters, golfing, playing video games when he’s not working.

Hope is currently a sophomore at Hastings College. She is looking forward to transferring to UNK in the fall with a major in exercise science. While at Hastings College she played volleyball.

Hope’s family have been members at Southern Hills Golf Course for many years, Jeff and Amy. She began working at Southern Hills in the summer of 2021. In addition to bartending at Southern Hills she enjoys coaching club volleyball, bartending at Brickhouse, serving at Barista’s, does lawn care for Hastings Complete Lawns and works at Tribe Boutique. She is very excited for her 21st birthday on July 6th.

Kristie was born in Illinois and raised in Minnesota. She has two children, Jordan and Savannah.

She is a rural carrier for the USPS. She has enjoyed delivering mail for 17 years. She has two dogs, a bloodhound named Annabelle and a yellow lab named Maverick. She enjoys riding four wheelers, camping and boating. She has been a Southern HIlls bartender since the spring of 2023.

Brittany has worked as a bartender at Southern Hills for two summers. She is a senior at Nebraska Wesleyan University studying nursing. Brittany also works at a pediatric clinic as a nursing assistant in Lincoln this summer. She loves Taylor Swift, enjoys helping others and working out.

Aaron Stonerook is a dedicated loader operator at KAAPA and a skilled cook at Southern Hills. Originally from Upland, he balances hands-on work with his passion for cooking.

This is KK’s second summer bartending at Southern Hills. She attends UNK majoring in interior design and minoring in event planning. While not working she enjoys golfing, spending time with family and friends, traveling and sports. KK thoroughly enjoys the fast paced work and interaction with the members at Southern Hills.
Jared Delgado
Jared is from Broomfield, Colorado. He is a junior at Hastings College and plays on the baseball team. He is working on his degree in marketing and business. Jared enjoys anything with sports and spending time with friends. While at Southern Hills you might find him in the pro shop, the kitchen, behind the bar, or outside. He’s a jack of all trades!
Claire Hemberger
Claire attends Bryan College of Health Sciences in Lincoln majoring in nursing. She is back in Hastings for the summer to live with her family in Roseland. When she’s not bartending at Southern Hills she is a nurses assistant at Twin Rivers Urgent Care. She enjoys watching sports, going to the lake, and golfing.

Ashley recently moved to the area and will be teaching 3rd grade at Blue Hill. She will also coach Jr. High Girls Basketball. In Ashley’s free time she enjoys spending time outside as well as growing her photography business!

Kaeden recently graduated from Adam’s Central High School and plans to attend the University of Nebraska at Kearney. He plans on majoring in Criminal Justice and Political Science. When not working Kaeden enjoys golfing, watching movies, and hanging out with friends.
Garrett Sittner
Garrett, the OG of Southern Hills is a full time employee at Mid America Pump where he is in the office working on orders. He loves to golf and hang out at Southern Hills in his spare time. He enjoys traveling to golf courses around the country, basketball and all things sports related. He is a big fan of his mom’s cooking and loves anything sweet. He has helped develop some of the menu items here at Southern Hills.
